2025 DUTCH DARTS CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW

When and Where is the Dutch Darts Championship?
The 2025 Dutch Darts Championship will be held in Rosmalen, the Netherlands from the 23rd to 25th May. The tournament is the seventh of 14 European Tour events this year, and so marks the halfway point in the race to October’s European Championship.
This is marks the fifth staging of the Dutch tournament since its first edition in 2018 and will mark the first time it has been held at the same venue in consecutive years. This year it will remain at the Autotron in Rosmalen.

In previous editions, the event has also been held in:

-
Maastricht
-
Zwolle
-
Leeuwarden

This year is the only Euro Tour event in the Netherlands.

The Autotron in 2024 for the DDC. Interestingly, this venue used to be a Car Theme Park.
The History of Darts at the Autotron
Before holding PDC events, the Autoron had a place in darts history, having hosted the WDF 2007 World Cup which was won by now-commentator Mark Webster.
In 2024, in the first Euro Tour event at the venue, Ross Smith hit a nine-darter. That was Smith’s second Euro Tour nine-darter, following his first back in 2013 which started the infamous ‘Curse of Ross Smith’, which saw no nine-darter hit on the tour for over five years
What is the Key Event Info for this Year's DDC?
This year’s Dutch Darts Championship is expected to sell out and will feature six action-packed sessions across the three days. The afternoon sessions begin at 12pm local time, with the evening action getting underway at 6pm. Players are competing for a prize pool of £175,000, with the winner taking home £30,000.
